Dr. Cooper graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Auburn University. She then attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham where she graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry.
Dr. Cooper began practicing in Greenville in 1994. She has served in various professional leadership positions. These include President, Piedmont Optometric Society, Secretary-Treasurer, South Carolina Optometric Physician’s Association, and President South Carolina Optometric Physician’s Association. In addition, Dr. Cooper served on the Board Of Directors for the American Optometric Association Political Action Committee and on the Board of Trustees for SECO. She is currently a member of the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Optometry. In 2000, Dr. Cooper was honored by being named South Carolina Young Optometrist of the Year. In addition to practicing optometry, Dr. Cooper travels around the country teaching electronic medical records to fellow doctors and staff.
Dr. Cooper lives in Greer with her two daughters Meredith and Madeline,her son Johnny, and their dog. She enjoys camping, boating, going to the lake, and traveling. Most of all,she loves Auburn football!
